The exhibition presents autograph drawings with studies for the frescoes in the vault of the Sistine Chapel, anatomy studies and architectural studies. All the pieces on display come from Casa Buonarroti, a Florentine foundation that preserves, in addition to the family's archive, the world's largest collection of graphic works by Michelangelo.
The exhibition at the Pinacoteca Agnelli will be a beautiful opportunity for the public to admire the precious anatomical and architectural studies not usually exhibited.
On the occasion of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, the artistic offer of the Pinacoteca Giovanni and Marella Agnelli is added to the cultural proposal of the city of Turin, offering the possibility of rediscovering this extraordinary Renaissance period with a precious and representative journey in Michelangelo's work and the processes of formal elaboration that underlie the creations of the Florentine master.
