You will find yourself immersed in a truly unique Christmas atmosphere in Finale Ligure's Christmas Village

Finale Ligure is setting up a large Christmas village, Giuele, in the beautiful Calvisio green valley near Savona, along the Julia Augusta old Roman route. You will find yourself immersed in a truly unique Christmas atmosphere.

A structure of over 600 square meters, Giuele will host the touring stage show of a Christmas fairy tale based on folklore (fairy tales and legends) of the Liguria region, the home of Santa Claus, an ecological ice-skating rink, a goblins factory, a miniature city, the Nativity Scene, a restaurant serving an Alpine tradition based menu. Attractions such as the carriage ride, the Santa's sleigh roller coaster, the baptism of the saddle with pony games and the Turtle Express train which connects the Christmas Village to Finalborgo - one of the most beautiful towns in Italy - will also delight visitors in their Christmas Village's exploration and discovery.

The ancient tradition of Christmas markets has its roots in the region between Germany and Alsace, it was an opportunity to buy from the best local artisans. Resuming the original spirit of the Christmas markets, Finale's village will have a large market with 30 traditional wooden chalets exposing typical Ligurian products and many gift ideas for Christmas. This is another way to communicate, promote and market those small businesses in Liguria that guard the important historical, artistic and cultural heritage. Two traditions in comparison: the charm of Christmas meets the beauty, quality and taste of Ligurian most typical and characteristic products.

The real novelty of this edition is the dance theater performance “The twelve nights”. A brand new show, for the first time on stage at the Christmas Village, based on the Liguria region folk tradition. A fairytale tour which takes place within a structure of 600 square meters: a journey of 30 minutes in the footsteps of the main characters, Aleramo and Adelasia, following the brave Aleramo having to face three tests to love the beautiful princess Adelasia ...

The Christmas Village is a unique initiative for Liguria; it received the patronage of the Municipality of Finale Ligure.

It will be open from 10am to 8pm, every Saturday and Sunday from November 21^st to December 20^th and then every day from December 23^rd to January 6^th. Special opening for the Immaculate Conception, from Saturday 5^th to Tuesday, December 8th. Closed on Christmas morning (December 25) and the morning of New Year (January 1).
