Place du Casino, in the Principality of Monaco, is a must-see especially in winter with its beautiful Christmas decorations. This year, paying tribute to the Year of Russia in Monaco, coming to an end, Place du Casino will wear the classic Russian Christmas colors: snowy white, red and gold. Throughout 2015, Monaco has been promoting events highlighting links existing between the two countries dating back more than 150 years.
Enchanting Christmas decorations will delight everybody throughout Monaco and Montecarlo in a unique atmosphere that makes the Principality of Monaco a destination during the Christmas holiday season.
From Friday December 4th 2015 to Sunday January 3rd 2016, the magic of Christmas also comes to Quai Albert 1er with the traditional Christmas market, where visitors can discover regional crafts and food specialties. This year, the market will be Russian-themed, offering visitors a real change of scenery.
Additionally, the whole Monte-Carlo shopping promenade will be decorated with colorful Christmas lights and finery: Pavillons Monte-Carlo, Square Beaumarchais at the foot of Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Avenue de Monte Carlo, and Allée François Blanc. Plenty of options for refreshments and for a delicious gourmet break are available along the promenade, like Café Promenade, just at the Pavillons Monte-Carlo.
On December 31st, festivities will carry on with Alessandro Ristori's rock and the Portofino's, and will reach their peak with the fantastic fireworks display welcoming year 2016.
Inarguably, a trip to Monaco offers so much more! While there, why not enjoy a jazz concert, an emotion-filled night at the casino, a romantic dinner, a night in a legendary luxury hotel, a moment of well-being, a sporting experience…
