Mandelieu-La Napoule: Mimosa Festival [Video & photo gallery]

Being an integral part of the winter festivals of the Côte d’Azur, the Mandelieu Mimosa Festival constitutes a major appointment every year during February ! Created in 1931 and taking place during 8 consecutive days, the Mimosa Festival is a great popular festivity gathering every year local people but also thousands of visitors.

Friday, February 22nd at 7:00pm: Night show on the beach of the Castle - Water and light show on the theme of Marco Polo

Saturday, February 23rd at 2:00 pm: Election of the Queen of Mimosa at the Expo Congress Centre - Free admission

Discover the candidates throughout an elegant competition with various shows in the presence of Miss Regional! The winner will be created Queen of the Mimosa and will have the privilege, with her runner-up, to participate in the election of Miss Côte d'Azur!

On Saturday evening, from 6.30 pm, a night corso of florets of mimosa florets grown on the surrounding hills parades through the streets of the city centre to the sound of brass bands and street orchestras.

Sunday 24 February at 2.30 pm: Grand Corso Fleuri in La Napoule, on the Promenade du bord de Mer

Facing the Mediterranean Sea and on the most beautiful avenue of La Napoule, the Grand Corso Fleuri will launch itself as every year in an explosion of colours and scents! In reference to the "Adventures of Marco Polo", golden floats dressed in gold will march and will be accompanied by many musicians, street artists, troops and machinery!

IMPORTANT :

- It is essential to arrive at the stands before 14:00.

- Tickets in the stands are to be collected at the Mandelieu Tourist Office, 806 avenue de Cannes, until 12:30 pm on the day of the Grand Corso Fleuri.

Excursions and hikes

Every day, from 20 to 27 February from 13h30 to 16h00 - Sunday 24 February from 9h30 to 12h00: Guided hikes "Au Pays du Mimosa".

In the company of a specialized guide, discover the mimosa in its natural environment during a walk of about 2 hours that will allow you to see, smell and touch the precious shrub! Hiking starts in front of the Mandelieu Tourist Office.

On January 23rd, February 21st, 23rd, 25th and 26th from 1:30pm to 6:30pm: Excursions by coach "From Mimosa to Perfume"

With our guide, you will spend half a day crossing the largest mimosa forest in Europe, meet a mimosaist at his farm in the village of Tanneron, and discover the subtle and delicate art of perfume creation during an initiation at the Fragonard perfumery in Grasse. Departures of the excursions at 13h30 from the Port of Napoule and at 13h45 in front of the Expo Congress Centre in the city centre.
