Olioliva 2016: Imperia, Olive Oil Capital

November 11-13, 2016 Olioliva is back in Imperia offering flavors, scents and products from Liguria’s inland, where extra-virgin olive oil is the true protagonist.

Olioliva revolves around the pressing of extra virgin olive oil and it is a perfect showcase for the gastronomic delights, seasonal flavors, and products unique to the western Liguria's inland.

Many exhibitions, workshops, and tastings throughout the three days:

Fresh fish to savour directly from the fishing boat, or onboard.

A 10km-road race, OliOliva Baby Run, 1 kmOliOliva Run.

A thematic exhibition with objects, furniture, tools and original graphic material of the early twentieth century and up to the sixties of an old olive oil storehouse, with its attached laboratory for the analysis of new oil samples.

And then, of course, the Olive Tree Museum - one of the most important private archaeological collections in Italy - which will extend its opening hours during Olioliva festival.

Not to miss the inland trips: a visit to an olive oil mill with tastings, and a day as a farmer – from olive to olive oil.

Following last year’s editon, Olioliva confirms as the chief autumn event in Imperia and Liguria as, in three days, it attracts more than two hundred exhibitors and thousands of visitors.
