Hanbury Botanic Gardens are, without any doubts, among the most beautiful in Europe.
In London, a meeting to promote Hanbury Gardens was held recently at the Italian Cultural Institute. The Gardens were presented in their essence to all lovers of gardens and flowers, just before the Chelsea Flower Show took place on May 24 to 28, organised by the Royal Horticultural Society in London.
During the meeting, two movies on Hanbury Gardens were shown. Speakers: Carolyn Hanbury with a report on "The Hanbury family: three generations of garden lovers"; Luigi Minuto, president of the Hanbury Botanical Gardens and professor at the University of Genoa, on the theme "The Hanbury Gardens: main features of the soul of the garden"; and many others.
The event is a recognition of the importance the Botanical Gardens enjoy in the world, with the hope of increasing the interest and participation towards this priceless common good.
