Spring is coming to Beigua Park!

Spring is just amazing at Beigua Park - UNESCO site in the Global Geoparks list – as the calendar gets richer and richer with events.

Spring hikes are especially varied at Beigua Park: many opportunities are offered to discover the animal realm and beautiful spring blooms. Additionally, the European Geopark Week takes place May 1st – 5th to celebrate the local geological heritage by hiking along a flowering Alta Via dei Monti Liguri and among fascinating canyons of Val Gargassa.

This year's theme for the European Park Day - celebrated throughout Europe on May 24th – is “A taste of nature”, pointing out the strict link between natural parks and local products: Beigua Park will promote, on this occasion, a traditional Ligurian sauces tasting evening, all prepared with the herbs of the area.

Outdoor sports also have a special place in the Park's calendar: trail runnig along the Faiallo circuit (May 8th), followed by a bouldering meeting, Varazze BluBloc 3.0 on May 14th-15th. The 6th edition of mountain running Gran Trail Rensen on May 22nd will close the May events.

The 5th edition of mountain bike race Alta Via Stage Race takes place in June; it is divided into eight stages, 500 km and 19,000 meters of elevation gain along spectacular Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, from Bolano (in La Spezia province) to Airole (in Imperia province). The races crosses Beigua Park on June 21st and 22nd.
