Progetto Vino (Wine Project) is as an essential element to Collisioni – the annual AgriRock Festival taking place in Barolo in Piedmont during July - as attending music and cinema stars, Nobel prizes, writers, and journalists are.

Progetto Vino involves conferences, interviews, tastings and winery tours with some among the most renowned wine professionals in the world.

More than 80 experts, sommeliers from great starred restaurants, journalists, opinion leaders, food-and-wine marketing specialists are travelling to Piedmont in July, with particular attention to the US market and some emerging countries like China and Korea.

Among the confirmed prestigious participants to Collisioni are: Jeffrey Porter, Batali & Bastianich Restaurants Wine Director, Keith Goldston, Capella Hotel Master Sommelier and Wine Director in Washington, DC.; Anna Rönngren, Frantzén Restaurant starred sommelier and educator at Restaurang Akademien; Bryant Mao, Hawksworth Restaurant's Chief Sommelier, best 2015 British Columbia Sommelier; Seamus Sharkey, The Ledbury Michelin starred restaurant's Chief Sommelier.

And more: Leonid Sternik, best Russian sommelier in 2006 e Vincenta San Pietroburgo Restaurant owner; Elin McCoy, in charge of wine&spirits magazine for Bloomberg Markets; Jay Hutchinson, Ai Fiori Restaurant's head sommelier in New York; Roberto Dante Martella, Grano Restaurant owner in Toronto; Beatriz Machado, The Yeatman, Relais & Chateaux's sommelier in Porto, Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” wine list; Bernardo Silveira M. Pinto, wine import; Chris Horn, Purple Café Wine Director in Seattle; Madeleine Stenwreth, Master of Wine. As last year, this year as well attendance by experts from China is confirmed, among whom are Dorian Tang, National Education Manager, ASC Fine Wines and Ying Guo, Four Seasons Hotel's head sommelier.

Progetto Vino's Creative Director is Ian D'Agata. He has been recently awarded the Louis Roederer International Wine Awards Book of the Year 2015 for his Native Wine Grapes of Italy, award never given to an Italian before; he is also Decanter Contributing Editor and Vinous Staff as well as Vinitaly International Academy scientific director.
