Footlights on Castel Vittorio at cooking show in Copenhagen

Terry Prada and Gianluigi Moro, owners of Busciun Restaurant in Castel Vittorio, delighted participants with special dishes from Nervia Valley: pasta with local pesto, local products such as extra-virgin mountain olive oil by Mauro Rebaudo and organic jams by Pia Viale from Vallebona. To refresh the palate, an excellent selection of Piedmont wines by Mauro Briganti in Dogliani.

During the show, participants enjoyed the projection of Castel Vittorio and the high Nervia Valley's images and video, followed by Danish soprano Elsebeth Dreisig's songs - the renowned singer also participated in the high Nervia Valley's Music and Flavors Festival, which takes place every July.

Both food products, including a giant sandwich topped with 6 kg condiglione - a local fresh tomato salad, and music met the tastes of Danes, thus savoring what awaits them during their holidays in the Nervia Valley.

Castel Vittorio, a charming medieval village barricaded up on a hill in Nervia Valley, among woodland-covered mountains, is definitely well worth a visit. Strolls on picturesque narrow alleys and small squares, old traditional recipes, and food festivals are just a few of the reasons making this village so special. For hikers, Castel Vittorio can also be a pleasant stop, as the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, a 400 km trail crossing the whole Liguria region, goes through Nervia Valley.
